Silt Sock Environmental is proud to announce that we, along with four other companies, have been approved for funding to initiate our phosphorous reduction project in the Upper Thames River Conservation Authority region. The staff here at Silt Sock Environmental are working along with the Phosphorous Reduction Collaborative to finalize details of the project’s implementation. Our project systems will be installed this coming spring of 2019 and will include our Erosion Tube Product and Hicken Bottom ring installed in-field. Our products will be used in conjunction with a phosphorous-attracting sponge to reduce the most amount of phosphorous from runoff water as possible. The project will be a three year commitment with testing and adjustments made to perfect a system that will be used to aide farmers in reducing phosphorous in their fields.
